International Olympic Committee Session 8 February 2002 Category: News King Constantine participated in the International Olympic Committee Session in Salt Lake City and attended the 19th Winter Olympic Games, which were opened by US President George Bush on February 8th 2002. He had the chance to meet and discuss with ministers and officials from many countries and to meet world known personalities such as the UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who attended the various functions. King Constantine also visited the opening of the Exhibition and Information Centre of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, where he had the chance to see an excellent presentation of both the progress made for the preparation of the Athens 2004 Olympics, the Cultural Olympics, and to admire the "authentic copies" of the Hellenic Cultural Heritage.
