Straight after arriving at Athens airport yesterday, King Constantine headed to Aretaieio hospital, where His Beatitude, the Archbishop Christodoulos is recovering after a grave intestine operation.

During their cordial meeting, His Majesty extended his family's sincere wishes for a speedy recovery. King Constantine also met with the Archbishop's doctors, who informed him of the steady progress in His Beatitude's health.

Asked by journalists to comment on the Archbishop's demeanour, King Constantine stated that he maintains a positive attitude and is in good spirits.
