ISAF ROLEX WORLD SAILOR OF THE YEAR 2010 AWARDS

International Sailing Federation's (ISAF) Annual Conference and the ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards for 2010 took place in November 9th 2010, in Athens (even though the original plan was to took place in Hungary), after His Majesty King Constantine’s request, who set as a basic assumption for his participation in the ISAF Conference that they should take place in the city that He was born and raised.
 
His Majesty King Constantine’s request was granted from the ISAF members, since this year is the 50 years anniversary of King Constantines’ service to ISAF.
 
International Sailing Federation's (ISAF) Annual Conference is a great event which attracts world interest, since great athletes from all over the world participate.
 
HM King Constantine, ISAF President of Honor, and HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark announced the winners of this year's Awards.ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Award is presented to outstanding athletes for their special achievements.
The winners of this esteemed award for 2010 were Blanca Manchón (ESP) and Tom Slingsby (AUS).
The evening was presented by Sofia Bekatorou (2 Olympic metals) and Richard Simmons.
